For those of you who like nothing better than a good mooch around a market well you won’t be disappointed to know that Benidorm has a massive, open air market every Wednesday and Sunday morning. Located behind the Hotel Pueblo , you can buy everything from a bag of lemons to everyone’s favourite Spanish take home – leather shoes. Stall after stall displays this year’s fashions at knock down prices and you’ll also find some unusual gift ideas too. There’s souvenir CD’s with all your favourite holiday tunes, bags, belts, bikinis and baby clothes. And as you wander round you’ll see the locals shopping too – a sure sign that prices are good. So if you’re looking for a bargain, head of the market, it trades between the hours of 8am – 1pm but try to go early so as to avoid the crowds…….and the heat! If you’re staying in one of the hotels or apartments below, you’re within a 15 minute walking distance of the market ground – if not, jump in a taxi. It’ll cost between 7-10 euros within Benidorm, depending on distance.
