From the Bali to the beach as the crow flies!
(Benidorm)  Attempting a World record is currently flavour of the moment with no fewer than FOUR attempts in the same number of months in this area. And why not?

It is after all a great way to get media publicity…or it was until everyone cottoned on to the idea! But anyway, this latest attempt was certainly worthy of our attention thanks to its WOW factor AND the fact it’s being performed by someone who already has one world record under his belt and is looking to beat it.
Circus performer Mutafa ‘Danger’ is an expert at walking the tight rope high in the sky; he’s crossed wires strung between mountains in the USA and achieved his first Guinness world record crossing the Santiago Bernabéu football stadium on a wire stretched from the north side to the south.
Recently he decided to attempt to beat his own record this time riding a motorbike on a steel wire from the emblematic Hotel Bali (the tallest in Europe) located in the Cala de Benidorm to the Monte Tossal hillside, more than a kilometer away.
Morrocan born Mustafa started his circus career 20 years ago, aged just 14 and has attempted many unusual feats – but this latest one attracted much media attention. There was no safety net for a start and the 180m high cable offered little protection from the wind whipping in from the sea.
The event was sponsored by Terra Natura theme park, Burger King and the town hall of Benidorm and the Councillor for tourism pointed out that the spectacular feat fitted in nicely with the town’s slogan ‘In Benidorm ANYTHING is possible’!
