HOTEL ORANGE IN MASSIVE REFORM.
HOTEL ORANGE IN MASSIVE REFORM.
(Benidorm)  We were asked recently, to pop down to the popular Hotel Orange in central Benidorm to find out what was going on!

The rumour mongers had been at work telling us the hotel was about to close! We were relived to find out that the hotel was in fact undergoing a massive 2 million euro refurbishment which is going to relaunch it as one of the town’s top hotels.
As part of the prestigious Servigroup chain it was built back in 1970, and had a refurbishment in 2005 but this time it’s really going to get a going over!
The Manager Snr Antonio Villanueva who has been a manager since 1971 and in charge at the Orange for the last 15 years detailed some of the changes.
“The bedrooms are to be modernized and decorated with each one having a flat screen 26 inch TV with a choice of 60 national and international channels as well as 15 music channels. The balcony doors have been double glazed to ensure when resting guests are not bothered by noise from outside. This means as well that when it’s 30c plus outside that our guests are guaranteed a cool bedroom to sleep in as all the rooms have air conditioning. We will also have free WiFi internet for those people who like to stay in touch with what’s happening online while on holiday”.
While we were there Antonio was also briefing his gardeners describing how the hotel grounds are to be changed around with new parking places incorporated to bring it up to 99 spaces….. Great news if you hire a car while on holiday, as its not exactly easy to park in town in summer!
Antonio apologized, as the restaurant was closed in preparation for the changes there.
“We have massive changes planned” he said, showing us the proposed ‘show cooking buffet’ which means you can watch your food being grilled, right in front of you!
An important development is going to be the availability of a ‘Gluten free’ menu on request. A huge benefit too many people who suffer from not being able to tolerate this in their food.
The public rooms are also to be refurbished, with the addition of information screens that will inform of all manner of ‘happenings’ both in the hotel and the resort in general.
It was good to see that Servigroup are so confident in a bright future for the town that they are continuing even in recession, to invest huge amounts of money to keep their reputation as having some of the finest hotels in town.
Well done Servigroup!
Note: It is planned that the spanking new hotel Orange will be reopening its doors at the beginning of June.
