Which John & Joseph’s?
Which John & Joseph’s?
(Benidorm)  Following the overwhelming response to our article last month about the two John & Joseph’s pubs, owner Ross has requested we leave the story running in a shortened version, to inform new holidaymakers as they arrive.

Regular visitors to Benidorm may have noticed there are now two famous John & Joseph’s pubs….located immediately next to each other! But with a definite and very PERMANENT divide between the two pubs, this isn’t a case of expansion…this is a case of the neighbour ‘adopting’ the established name…and hanging it outside his new pub! Confused? Read on….
Open since 1987, literally millions of holidaymakers and locals have enjoyed John & Joseph’s unbeatably low priced food and drink; service is always quick and the vast turnover of food ensures everything is super fresh.
Current owners Pedro, Ross and Angel have literally worked round the clock since they took over in the early 90’s and today’s newly refurbished bar with it’s open kitchen and spotless, stylish loos is a real credit to them.
So imagine their absolute outrage when the pub next door hung out their new sign….bearing the name John & Joseph’s!
“What they’ve done isn’t illegal” insists Ross, who has now come to terms with the situation. “But we do want our regular customers to know what’s happened because we’ve worked hard for many years to build up our reputation”.
So there you have it. If you want to enjoy the fayre at the famous John & Joseph’s Pub (or just have a nose at the controversial signs!), find the genuine John & Joseph’s opposite the Hotel Ambassador on Calle Gerona in Benidorm.
