(Benidorm) The award winning TV series Benidorm started filming at the end of August so look out for the stars of the show out and about in resort from now for around the next 3 months. The award winning TV series Benidorm started filming at the end of August so look out for the stars of the show out and about in resort from now for around the next 3 months. Around 700 people turned up for the auditions for this series’ extras in August and the luxurious setting of the hotel Melia in Benidorm was the setting for the recent auditions. for extras for the next series of the award winning TV series “Benidorm”. The company running the auditions, Mediterranea audiciónes SL had asked for interested people to turn up……and turn up they certainly did! Queues formed from 9am, and soon lengthened to pass through the reception, and out to the street and Helena Oliva, the lady in charge of organisation, and Peré Agullo the head of film production on the Spanish side were understandably delighted with the turn out! Filming was due to start on August 29th, and will go on until just before Christmas, and the extras are on 50€ a day if they get selected. Filming will take place on location in resort and in the now famous Morgan’s tavern Pub (aka Neptune’s in the series) and the Pelicanos Hotel poolside (aka the fictitious Solana Hotel).

Love the series Benidorm.If you can see pest the smut you are ok.Myself I naver miss it.Long may it be on our telly;s.I always look mehind the acting to see where they are.The fact that it is Benidorm cheers me up no end, as I know because of poor health we will not get there again.Keep up the good work Round town.Anne.

just got back from 10day holl on 16th sept.roundtown is one of the 1st.things i look for a good read,weather superb for sept. we were in the evamar& enjoyed watching "madge"being kidnapped six times!!good luck see you in june012,
I think its great though i have to admit i hated it when i first saw it, thought it depicted us Brits really badly but now i see the funny side and never miss it.
