LAW BUT NO ORDER
LAW BUT NO ORDER
(Benidorm) Roundtown has been inundated with complaints recently over the surge in street crime on the streets of Benidorm. Bag snatching, scams and muggings seem to be ‘the norm’ on many streets – and not just at night. The authorities allegedly know what’s happening but they seem not to care - more intent instead on concentrating on fining motorists to make some much needed cash. Well it’s time for change. We want Benidorm’s streets made safer so our tourists won’t decide to holiday elsewhere. For the full story click on the virtual edition of the Roundtown Times on our home page and turn to page 4. |

We had 2 great weeks in Benidorm staying at Las Torres Apts. but it was spoilt near the end when my father in law was mugged whilst walking up cardiac hill. The thief pretended to dance and be friendly whilst nicking my in laws wallet out of his back pocket and beneath his jacket! It has put us off Benidorm. Also the hassle of the police station the next day..there were so many Brits in the station reporting thefts. It took 3 hours in all to report the theft.
this has been going on for years about time something was done dont let up untill the authorities move the thieves from the streets of benidorm
we have always visited benidorm at half term to call on friends and relax in warmer weather. Some friends who visisted in January became victims of the present situation which makes us a bit concerned for our visit. If the situation is not addressed and resolved we would have to consider if it is worth continuing our annual visits at our age.(66 to 74 years of age)We will take extra precautions to ensure we do not become victims and then decide what to do next year on the outcome of this visit. Thank you for your warning. Ivor Cooke
Igo to Benidorm at least twice a year last time i was there in November with my son for my 50th he is 24 we had to keep avoiding the romanian girls offering sex while trying to steel your wallet this is night and day on the strip ie outside Morgans and further up the strip, previousley while with my wife we were tailed by three romanian girls tryinng to steel her handbag plus the same three girls tried to do the same snatch her bag when on holiday wjith her friends its time the authorities clamped down, our next holiday is Majorica but we will be back this year with an air of caution while on holiday takes the shine of the holiday but we do like Beni.
Having been a regular visitor to Benidorm for many years I have no trouble recognising the "Pea Con Men" and their Gang--something the Police seem unable to do !
you can go out but watch your back ask in the bars they no were the crooks are and only take enough money for the night not a wallet and always put your money in your front pocket
