Kids Stuff

Benidorm is a very child friendly land and kids are allowed almost everywhere  - certainly most of the bars and restaurants. However, it’s illegal for children under the age of sixteen to purchase or consume alcohol or cigarrettes and up to parents to protect them from unsuitable entertainment late at night. Also, it is generally frowned upon by the locals to see over-tired children wheeled from pub to pub in their pushchairs in the wee hours.
Daytime
The most popular pastime for the little ones is a day on the beach – but do like the locals and avoid the midday rays from 1pm – 5pm, head indoors for a siesta instead. Remember to keep the kids hydrated, when they’re in the pool they won’t feel thirsty and put sun protection on at least 20 minutes before exposing them to the harsh rays.
Most hotels in Benidorm have a kids club in the high season but if you’re looking to off load the kids for a couple of hours during the day, while you shop or sunbathe there are also private day care facilities available in resort – click on the Benidorm’s Kids Club link for more information.
Nightime
Again, most Hotels operate a children’s entertainment programme early evening in the high season, most commonly a mini disco. Alternatively, some clubs have children’s entertainers to keep the little ones amused while you enjoy a well earned drink but they are few and far between – the best known is probably the Cellar Bar close to the Hotel Dalmatas in Benidorm.
Eating Out
Many restaurants offer children’s meals at a reduced cost and highchairs are readily available.
